Amazing What Friends Will Send Me

i received the following missive in my email inbox today. normally, this emailer sends "jokes". i just thought i would share it with you, because it made me reflect on the importance of only exalting God so that i might live forever (and i mean that in the corporeal sense based on the following):

NEVER MOCK GOD!
Make a personal reflection about this.
Very interesting, read until the end.It is written in the Bible
(Galatians 6:7): "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
Here are some men and women who mocked God:
JOHN LENNON:Some years before, during his interview with an American Magazine, he said: "Christianity will end, it will disappear. I do not have to argue about that. I am certain. Jesus was ok, but his subjects were too simple, Today we are more famous than Him" (1966). Lennon, after saying that the Beatles were more famous than Jesus Christ, was shot six times.

TANCREDO NEVES (President of Brazil):During the Presidential campaign, he said if he got 500,000 votes from his party, not even God would remove him from Presidency. Sure he got the votes, but he got sick a day before being ma de President, then he died.

CAZUZA (Bi-sexual Brazilian composer, singer and poet):During a show in Canecão ( Rio de Janeiro ), whilst smoking his cigarette, he puffed out some smoke into the air and said: "God, that's for you." He died at the age of 32 of AIDS in a horrible manner.

THE MAN WHO BUILT TITANIC:After the construction of Titanic, a reporter asked him how safe he said: "Not even God can sink it" The result: I think you all know what happened to the Titanic.

MARILYN MONROE:She was visited by Billy Graham during a presentation of a show. He said the Spirit of God had sent him to preach to her. After hearing what the Preacher had to say, she said: "I don't need your Jesus". A week later, she was found dead in her apartment.

BON SCOTT:The ex-vocalist of the AC/DC. On one of his 1979 songs he sang: "Don't stop me, I'm going down all the way, down the highway to hell". On the 19th of February 1980, Bon Scott was found dead, he had been choked by his own vomit.

CAMPINAS/SP IN 2005 In Campinas, Brazil a group of friends, drunk, went to pick up a friend. The mother accompanied her to the car and was so worried about the drunkenness of her friends and she said to the daughter - holding her hand, who was already seated in the car: "MY DAUGHTER, GO WITH GOD AND MAY HE PROTECT YOU."She responded: "ONLY IF HE (GOD) TRAVELS IN THE BOOT, CAUSE INSIDE HERE IT'S ALREADY FULL"Hours later, news came by that they had been involved in a fatal accident, everyone had died, the car could not be recognized what type of car it had been, but surprisingly, the boot was intact. The police said there was no way the boot could have remained intact. To their surprise, inside the boot was a crate of eggs, none were broken.....Boot means trunk.

Many more important people have forgotten that there is no other name that was given so much authority as the name of Jesus. Many have died, but only Jesus died and rose again, and he is still alive. JESUS!!!

P.S: If it was a joke, you could have sent it to everyone. So are you going to have courage to send this?. I have done my part, Jesus said "If you are embarrassed about me, I will also be embarrassed about you before my father."What benefit does it have, if a man gains the whole world but loses his soul? What can man give in exchange of his soul? (Mathew16:26).

I'm not sure how to take that

Yeah, what she said- and I'm sure all those stories are EXACTLY TRUE. So if God rides in the trunk, then he only saves the trunk and whatever fragile food items are inside? Ah, I remember those crazy college days when we would get shitfaced and drive around with a crate of eggs....

I'm always amazed how the first thing most evangelical types will do to convince Godless atheists of the divinity of Christ and the power of God, is to quote from the exact book they already know they don't believe in. Basic marketing concepts, people! Come on!!

...you know, it's kind of a funny thing.

-not to be arrogant, but I had a friend just tell me one night, '...you Christians are just so damned sure where you're going, it's really aggrivating.'
-Martin Luther penned words similar to this: '--who are these audacious young believers who soar the heights and depths of salvation -so secure in their standing and knowing that they are eternally held...'

--usually, after somebody is drunk enough, somebody gets married, dies, or has a brush with death, or winds up being honest, I get (having been in the ministry and all,)
'-you know, I envy you, you have a faith and believe in something, I just don't have that...'

-to correct it: No.
I don't have a 'faith,'
I don't 'believe in something...'
I'm known by something, and in an intimate relationship with a being called God that seems to know me quite well, and has reaffirmed this love over three decades
--me (at times,) completely denying their existance and being quite put out about them...(hasn't changed their decison to love me... funny, huh...?)

(Kind of like people who you don't really know that well, comeing up to you at, (say,) a nightclub and saying, 'hey, how ya doing, how's everything,
--and they remember YOU, (though you don't know them all that much...)
-after a while you begin to think -'who is this weirdo who is so friendly?' (if nothing else.)
--God sort of starts with that and builds on it.
-(it's NOT the belief or the faith of the individual --it's more like the response that a person has to the definite intent by God towards that person in a highly personal way...
(so stuff that conveys this love to me, will mean nothing to you,
-and the stuff that conveys it to you will be undeniable, -and probably even hard for you to explain.)

(I've no interest in preaching.. it's just a rather unusual posting for your site,
--and would hate to think that somebody is out there thinking:
'If I mock God, He'll nail me with bad stuff.'
--Nope not God, (that's Thor, --or us...)
We get a length of life, and then your number's called, and you get to speak to the man...
both Old and New Testament comment on this.
-your reaction to God's feelings towards you, --that's the deal maker/breaker.
(hopefully, those who continually flip the bird at God will have enough years to maybe think differently.)

PS. --I think (Nietche's?) house is now being used by (Wycliff Bible Translators? or somebody) as a base of ops for that area..
(one of the big heavy Nihlist/Athiests old place is...)

-nice seein ya at starline.

you haven't read much of my blog if you think this post is unusual.

...yer right... I've only been reading since, um, you turned in a gun or something, (wandered in off of APJ's..
and realized
'...oh yeah, this is the guy I keep meeting, like two or three times
-for the first time each time... and it's always at Full Circle...

So I tried to wander past (semi-reg.)
I'd not admit to it being a habit,
--but freakin' Jag like types NOTHING, (but I know, he's had a lot going on...)

-still, when I open the OP-Ed of the Bee (always a mistake,) and they have Rumsfeld commenting on WTC... and the first thing I think is, '...Freakn' Dyer is going to love this...'
-that's when you know you read someone's stuff a little TOO much...
(still, if you insist, I'll dig through the archives, -and sign you up for a PTL prayer hankie that's been sweated on... (just, please, don't do with it what you did to lecram's pith... (not that it would cause lightening, --you might catch something...)

If I was to put in $1000 into a forex trading company, what is the realistic result I would get from that in one month period?
