i went to las vegas recently. i had been seduced by a nymph goddess patting among the water lilies somewhere down in the tower district on a tuesday in the afternoon sometime back in july as i walked from one drinking establishment to the next.

i told her at the time that i did not favor las vegas, because it was a den of iniquity, bed of sin, city of slots (umlaut over the "o").

she replied that the "(b)light in the desert" had changed and was now family friendly. roller coasters, aquariums, tiger and lion shows, atriums, covered titties and whatnot...

...so i went with her.

to her credit, i saw not one uncovered tittie...except...
...and i saw families. families i saw. saw i families. i...families...saw. big and small. black and white. yellow and swarthy. two legged and, uh, more legged. how to put this...

...las vegas is now so inclusive that families of all kinds, stripes and genuses are flocking to the Strip:

this hot momma was so protective of her children she actually sauntered while we stared. like she didn't care that she was dressed all in black and leatherish looking stuff. she was very protective and shiny. my nymph seductress was very pukish and not shiny at all even though she was the one who pointed this out.

and that's all you need to know about what happened on my vacation.

yeah, family friendly. I took the fam there after an epiphany-full better'n-the-bradies trek through the southwest.
At least they only handed the phonesex ad cards to me and the wife and not the kids.
They DIDN"T have cartoon channel(no powerpuff girls?no mojojojo?)
The freakin' POOL at the hotel closed early [one of those theme pirate giganto hotels], the LIGHTING in the room was sh*tty.
OBVIOUSLY they didn't like the habits of the Jones' (reading, watching cartoons and swimming)---they wanted us OUT---out putting quarters in the machine and picking up phone sex cards.
Vegas blows. Sorry to all fans of "Swingers". I'd rather swing at home.---and the Southwest Desert was much much more interesting.
---but I love Katie AND Dyerman--and glad if they had a ball.

ok, seduced by a nymph goddess--that part's cool--and lauri DID win fifty bucks at the slots that paid for our deluxe buffet breakfast----but I'm still down on Vegas.---but up on Katie and SquirrelMan.

Yeah, the Vegas "family-friendly" trend of the Nineties pretty much went out about five years ago when they re-realized that Vegas is all about sin, and that's what sells. The Rat Pack are smiling and grooving in their graves.

Sin or not, I wouldn't take children to Vegas, unless the trip was centered around the Circus Circus hotel- that place rocks! :)
The roaches creeped me out like no ones business.
But the steak at the Paris was worth meeting a family of roaches. :)

I once saw Thereminman dressed as Mojo Jojo. At a wedding even.
